I wonder how many owners actually wear these 300m-rated watches into the abyss? If so, how do they fair in terms of viability of time and the lume down there? Interestingly for Omega, one has He escape valve and one doesn’t, both rated same. I know I wore...  

DIN 8306 (European requirements) are that the lume remains visible from a distance of 25cm (a little less than a foot) in pitch darkness. Not sure how long that needs to remain the case, but I’m gonna try to find out.

It’s also subjective if one’s eyesight is not perfect low light situation.

And I’m not that resourceful; I just read the brochure that I came with my DIN 8306 compliant Sinn U50 😁

Yeah, Sinn are technical like that…almost to a fault.

You’re absolutely right about the straps. I’m not sure the new NTTD Omega has a good design for diving with the deployant. I also like the Nekton but with the NTTD, I don’t need another similar model. Blancpain’s FF and other models are always intriguing ...
