Etrier back from repair
After waiting 26 weeks, the JLC Etrier (1670.21) that I inheritied from my Grandmother, has finally been returned from overhaul by JLC in Switzerland.
I have to say that the watch looks fantastic. The case looks almost new. The chipped crystal has been replaced and the movement purrs like a kitten.
The only thing left to do is buy a new strap (JLC quoted a small fortune for stock replacement) and present it to my wife.
What did the repair cost? A lot ... but after all it is a family heirloom.
