Hello Everyone out there on the PuristSPro site! This is my first post on here and would like to introduce myself, my name is Jared I'm from Indianapolis In, I have been a big reader of the site and love the content and I'm ready to start posting. I have been a big watch enthusiast for the last 7 to 8 years. I thought I would start my first post with a question to all the readers out there. How many of you have a Valijoux 7750 in your watch? Also what brand is it? The Valijoux 7750 is a work horse for so many brands out there due to its reliability. So come on everyone lets get a good discussion going and lets see the wide range of brands the movement is in!

To your question, I suppose I have two...the IWC Portuguese Chronograph and my trusty Muhle Glashutte chronograph.

Thank you for the welcome. I knew IWC used the 7750 but didn't know Glashutte did. I have the 7750 in a Panerai and a breitling.
Muhle Glashutte is one of the many brands from Glashutte.
The 7750 is a proven workhorse and many brands use them as you already know.

Hello Thomas, Thank you for your response, I'm so glad I posted! I knew the 7750 was used by a lot of brands so it's very intersting to hear from everyone about that wide range of brands.

Great to hear a little about the 773x. I don't think the cams take away from the reliable at all. Do you think the use the cams cause it makes servicing the movement easier?

I'm glad I made my way out from the shadows to. I'm having a blast with posting! I'm thinking of my next topic now love to hear other watch lovers point of view on why or what they like in watches.

A chronometer-grade version. Regrettably, my eyes have become bad enough to take the fun out of wearing a chronograph.
I don't have a 7750 anymore . . .
. . . but did, for a few years, ensconced in a Fortis Flieger. That watch was given (yes, as 'away'!) to a friend, who's had it ever since. He's got a few watches, including a vintage Rolex, but the Fortis . . . . . . is the most accurate, still runs well...

As to the Valjoux reference I need to dig around but my Rolex Tudor Monte Carlo 7159 has a Valjoux movement if memory serve me right but not the 7750 workhorse. Welcome to the forum. Bill
