Rolex

Fumé Datejust🤔

While it is a very nice offering, I’m a little surprised by how excited everyone is about the new green fumé DJ release, even to the point of comparing against the mint dial. The gradient DJ is nice, and provides a nice option amongst many for a first DJ, although didn’t strike me as groundbreaking. I probably would have been more excited to see that dial on an OP model, which is a nice clean template for interesting dials. Still, Moser is the king of fumé dials.

I sold my mint DJ a while back and have been content with my original silver dial version which has sentimental value.  But I had originally bought it almost ‘reactively’ given the beauty of the dial. However, the new DJ didn’t make me ‘react’ the same way.  Maybe it’s age or horo-fatigue. At the end of the day, I was looking forward to something more interesting from Rolex, but perhaps there is more to come.
