Girard-Perregaux Quartz 9444 Blue – Even more Blue!

Friends,

My Blue Girard-Perregaux Quartz reference 9444 has become even more blue!

Inspired by these original advertisings from 1972 I am trying something new.

A blue Tropical rubber strap from the same era as the watch:

As you can see the strap is wider at the near the watch and gets thinner towards the buckle.

The leather strap in this scan clearly shows the same shape.

Super cool with the GP logo on the side of the strap!

Even the bracelet had this shape:

And the result?

Very comfortable and super cool!

The blue rubber strap is actually better matching in real, but the flash from my camera makes it look brighter blue than it is.

Always great, to be able to dig into some of the DNA stuff of a timepiece. - 1 Q: watch from end 60ies or already clearly 70ies, what I would be inclined to assume ? Somehow this watch fits into Carneval - time, which here in my country will be ending upc...
