Grand Seiko 6246-9001
Hi all,
Well the collection is filling out nicely. Just the VFA's, the Observatory Chronometer, and two other "regular" movements to go now.
"Just". Hahaha
Here's a recent addition - a rather nice 6246 from 1967, which along with the 6245 (same as this but with just the date), was the first automatic in the Grand Seiko line.
I love the recessed crown at 4 o'clock on these models. For those who are not aware - it's not for winding, but only for setting the time and day/date. The only way to wind this watch is to move it so the rotor spins!
As usual, the full shot accompanied by a couple of crops from that image to give you an idea as to the resolution in the original shot.

Kind regards,
Gerald.

You are possessed! It\'s great fun to watch you fill out the collection of your chosen theme. I used to collect Seiko moon phase watches and I couldn\'t believe how many variants there were. Cheers, Mike
