Hands on with the Urwerk UR-120 Spock
A fun night out with Urwerk and The Hourglass last night, catching up with friends. Felix Baumgartner (or one half of Urwerk) was also here to walk us through their latest watch, the UR-120 Spock.
A friend who sat next to me had his UR-110 on; 10 years old and the "father figure" to the UR-120. It is unapologetically massive, and a sight on the wrist!
Naturally, the watch was popular with the audience and since it was slowly making its rounds, some of us gathered at a corner to geek out. Um, after we had finished our mains of course. Can you identify all the watches?
And finally, the UR-120 has reached our hands! The UR-120 feels much more comfortable and wearable than the UR-110, thanks in part to the spring loaded lugs at 6 o'clock that wraps around the wrist. 47mm width and 44mm lug-to-lug, with a 15.8mm case thickness. I admit, it is quite nice.
Oh, and if you were wondering what Felix had on his wrist... it was the UR-101 ;-)

Split cubes
I think they're a novelty... after awhile, you stop noticing them. My humble opinion.
The complication is super cool
But I definitely prefer the 110 case aesthetics over the 120.
110 v 120
110 feels massive on my wrist; I prefer the 120. But they are both hugely unique!

From your wrist shots, it appears the 120 is quite a bit smaller than the 110. Did it feel appreciatively smaller on the wrist? Cheers!
120 wears better than the 110
Definitely easier on the wrist. I have a 8.2" wrist, so I think I can wear larger watches, but even then the 110 felt a little too big for me.
