Officine Panerai

Here is another Panerai, I picked up last year, and I am really enjoying it!

It's a 44mm, 1950 Luminor case, in brushed steel, with a beautiful shiny bezel and a domed sapphire glass. The hands are silver, and really pop out of this beautiful sandwich dial with the lume Pam's are famous for... It's one of the early version Pam-233, with it's famous "dot dial", not to mistake with its later version "am/pm" indicator, which crowds the watch, and is less to my liking. This little dot discretly going from black to white at 6 a clock on the "Petite seconde" subdial at 9, is a subtle way to act as am/pm indicator, without complicating with an additional hand. I also really like the "dog teeth power indicator", so Panerai for me, and it's famous 8 days power reserve, manual wind, with hacking movement and second resetting automatically at 12:00. It's a cool watch, and for quite some month now, this model and my Fifty Fathoms are getting the most wrist time...
