After some detailed searching and many wrist tests - I'm pleased that my wife was able to get her first AP - a discontinued 33mm model with a brown dial and a brown strap and a quartz movement.
After changing this up to a white strap it really elevated the entire watch - and puts a smile on my wife's face every time 
Funnier yet is that she regrets not getting AP earlier - maybe one day when AP makes automatic movements at 33mm again we will expand it further.

Now we have moved to an AP family...
While prior to this she was a big fan of the Bvlgari serpentine tubogas line I think I'm getting her into other Brands. Maybe one day I can look into Bvlgari as well! Cheers Peter
