Hublot

Despite this regret, I understand Hublot's inclusion of these details.  There is no denying how strong a statement these watches make for both brands.

Yet if there is a model that tempts me to overlook these details I wish were omitted, it is the Bal Harbour 305 Limited Edition.

This watch is offered in a 50 piece titanium run and a 25 piece King Gold run.  I was immediately drawn to the titanium edition when I saw it, and to this day I think about the cool feelings it evoked on my wrist.

If I recall, the watch is supplied with 2 straps.  The blue with white is a perfect match.  We all agree about Hublot's now legendary strap and clasp comfort, and it is the same on these Ferrari models.  Very easy to adjust and dial in a proper fit.

I'll go ahead and declare this blue the perfect shade.  Blue color on a watch is almost always darker, and sometimes that works, but on this fresh sports watch, the blue has a strong life.




Hublot's Unico movement sits inside.  The "dial" is virtually completely open, allowing great views of the Unico's architecture.  Also, there is a real sense of depth on the watch.  The numbers and hour markers are quite thick.  An even thicker polished ring around the sub counter at 3:00 completes the dimensional quality.

Blue and white, this is a very "Miami" feeling watch.  It is certainly at home in that environment.

The red and yellow are still out of place in my opinion, but are not so bad from a little distance.  Still, my "what if" mind wishes these added colors were not present.

The overall combination of materials and colors is near perfect.  If Hublot makes a regular Big Bang Chronograph in this exact scheme (sans the Ferrari detailing), I will be first in line.
