I know I‘m going to regret this one…
Sold my first watch this week - my beloved Parmigiani Ionica. It’s been with me for about 15 years and I loved it for its distinctive style and wrist presence just as much as for its excuisite movement. 
Now it is on the wrist of a true connoisseur and member of this forum and I wish it farewell and say congrats to the new owner, knowing that it has found a loving home.

No firm plan yet, but a number of pretty tempting ideas. I‘ll be posting when things get rolling.

Lots of things going for it so you must have big plans for a replacement! You enjoyed it for many years and have passed it on to the next person to enjoy. Well done!
It wasn't really the watch I sold. It was the collection that I want to focus.
Still love these early Parmigianis, and the Ionica is the king of this era. But I felt that I was going in too many directions so some pieces need to go.

Choosing is renouncing so you obviously made your choice… I would have gladly see it as incoming… lucky new owner 👍
It is one of the great designs from PF.
But if it does no longer give you entire satisfaction, it is for sure better to let it go.
The satisfaction never died. But among the other temptations, it didn't get the wrist time it deserved.
To be frank, from the beginning the Ionica was a watch that I wore less often than I admired tor what it is. It's one ot these pieces that just give you the pleasure of winding up, or enjoying the movement with a loupe on an easy Sunday morning.

No regrets, surely? It's good to read that you treat the focus and coherence of your collection seriously enough to let such a longstanding companion go.
I can also understand that you use frequency of use as a basis for decision-making. That's certainly one reasonable criterion. In this respect, your account of the Ionica makes sense. Clearly the case for letting it go finally outweighed the case to keep ...
