I saw some VC's while in NY..
Including a gold Overseas on a tan leather strap, which I didn't like at all. I love the Overseas design, owning both the chronometer and chronograph in steel, and if I were to ever go for a gold bracelet watch it would be the Overseas, but I have no desire for this one. I think my main point of objection is how the strap attaches to the case. The leather strap has a tip which inserts between the two large lugs of the case. The tip is the same size as the middle third of the bracelet ( I wish I had a picture to show instead of attempting to describe it). I wonder if i would feel different if the way the strap attaches to the case were inverted; that is, the middle part of the bracelet served a the lug to which the strap is attached.
I also saw the new Patrimony Demi-Plate in white gold. It is quite nice, but if the choice were between the Malte Grande Classique and this watch I would choose the Malte.
I saw a unique YG minute repeating perpetual calendar (Which lookied like the special watches made for the VC retailer in Dallas that TM informed us about a long time ago) in the window of one shop. My heart was beating too fast for me to go in and ask to see it. I will seek courage and try again later)
