Incoming, do I go for it?
Hi again everyone and thanks to everyone for the help on my Armin Strom choices. I believe I have found the watch I want and wanted to post it for you comments. It is rose gold with a custom Kari white enamel solid rose gold dial. I will receive the Watch on Tuesday and have the chance to try it on for Fit and looks before I wire the money, The dealer has been very accommodating in that way. The question I have is about the watch brand in general, Armin Strong does not seem to have a strong presence in the market and I’m a little afraid I may have a fleeting love affair with this watch and be stuck with it possibly losing good money and I do have the new FP Journe Resonance on order. I have researched everywhere but cannot get a handle on the value proposition and since I have a lot of very nice watches I always try to buy ones that I will wear and be keepers.
I am getting a considerable discount off of retail but that may be because they are hard to sell. That being said, the unique resonance movement, the custom dial and the philosophy of the company making 95% of the parts in house is compelling to me. I know the saying “buy what you love“ but affirmation is always nice and I appreciate any comments that you can give… Jim
