Independents at BaselWorld 2016 - Grönefeld
The Grönefeld brothers showed a real jewel at BaselWorld this year, a 8 second rémontoir.
The movement is made in their particular style in steel, with three different finishes on each bridge, grained, brushed and polished.
The remontoir function is done through a differential and the inertal mass is on the dial so we get a short buzz of activity very 8 seconds.
This watch is a winner both from the dial and the movement side.
Congratulations to the Grönefelds for this very satisfying creation!

I was able to meet Tim and Bart and see this beauty at Basel and it was far and away my favourite watch of the show! The proportions of the watch were really perfect and the depth of the movement was breathtaking. I wish my pictures had turned out as well...

The value is high (if one could even say that for a 50k watch), especially compare to 100k RM's with their machine finished movements.
