From all the feedback on his thread, it's clear there's a lot of love for De Bethune on this forum! So let's keep the party rolling!
I'd love to start a De Bethune appreciation thread and see what pieces folks have in their collections. I have to think between all the aficionados of the brand here we could cover a good percentage of their catalogue! Hopefully, many of our De Bethune owners will post and, even if you're not an owner, chip in and let us know what your favorite De Bethune pieces are!
I'll start us off with my three old-school pieces:
DB 22 in Titanium. This is the watch that started my love affair with avant-garde timepieces. It seemed so radical a decade ago, now it's one of their more conservative pieces!
The iconic DB 28. Lots of great variations of this piece. Mine is one of the first iterations with the blued titanium floating lugs and rose gold case. I love it on this white strap.
The Dream Watch 3. I did indeed dream about this watch for a decade until I finally had the chance to acquire it this year!
Can't wait to see what other De Bethune pieces are out there in our community!

Really beautiful watches, they deserve to be much more popular.
The brand has struggled, I wish I understood more about why.

I’m not an owner, but I think many of De Bethune’s watches are beautiful and modern. Some are not to my taste, but I think they’ve hit their stride with the articulating lugs. The DB28 is the signature and the one I might choose myself. With a large budge...

And I personally like it so much more than the original. De Bethune are always tinkering with their designs in real-time and re-thinking concepts. One of the advantages of being such a small manufacturer.

I‘ve been in love with De Bethune since I first saw the DBS with its avant-garde design and revolving moon! The DB 28 is the one I hope to someday add to my collection. But they have so many fascinating pieces, it‘s really tough to decide where to start. ...
There’s no bad place to start, they are all winners!
But I agree with you, the DB 28 is the most iconic piece for the brand IMHO. It’s so comfortable with the floating lugs and relatively thin, it’s hard to take off the wrist and wear anything else 😀

Here’s a photo I took yesterday that I think came out well. Like a lot of watches the dial changes a lot based on lighting and angles. The whiteness of the titanium case also shows well here, I think. Looking forward to seeing more DeBethune beauties here...

You know, I think De Bethune Grade 5 Titanium is some of the best in the business. I'm curious, Gary, do you know what celestial view of the sky your dial represents? Is it the Milky Way? Best, NickO
