Breguet

Is the Tradition Tourbillon all that?

Hi all...

Kindly share your thoughts on this matter which has been on my mind ever since I saw the nice shots of the Tradition Tourby which JX kindly shared with all of us. Would you agree to consider that the Tradition Tourbillon can presently or in the years to come become THE torchbearer of Breguet's tourbillons? Serving as THE crossing point where Breguet segued away from its classically designed/positioned tourbillons? Because by pairing an old technique aka chain/fusee of powering the whirlwind with a contemporary size and with a calculated use of titanium to highlight its expertise in this aspect of horological wizardy, I certainly feel that Breguet has done so and in spades.

With this one bold move, Breguet has upped the ante in claiming its place to be amongst the other tourbillon representatives of other brands like the vaunted Patek 10 day tourbillon, the Pour Le Merit of Lange, the Dead Seconds of FP Journe or even the 3 Bridges of GP instead of just being THAT producer of tourbillons. Its finish, size and choice of case metal certainly polarizes the opinion on whether it is a faithful rendition/continuation of all other Breguets before it but this is precisely why I feel that this watch is and will be a continuing success given time. It took guts to do all that has been done with this watch and it would be certainly interesting to hear from other fellow Breguet enthusiasts how feel about this piece. Thanks and looking forward smile
