Case In Point: The Panerai Radiomir 8 Day - aka The PAM 346. The modern day version of the PAM 190, which housed a JLC 8 day movement.
This one has the all in-house P.2002/9, sporting a triple-barrel and seconds reset device.
No one would argue the torch-like lume offered by the sandwich dial makers. But did you know that the power reserve also has lume?
Neither did I.
Like I said, it's the details that matter the most, right down to the tremblage finish of the power reserve indicator base plate. Simple. Sublime.

... What I find interesting is the lack of information about this feature. If you google "how to use the small seconds reset on a Panerai", you get nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
