Its now official. The bespoke piece ateliers are up and working. You can now
have your own personnal Vacheron Constantin watch made from you, this can go from using an existing model but just changing the dial to a piece made to your specifications, with the complications of your choice.
I find this to be a huge step to be taken by VC who as of today is the only major brand who does this and it shows how much they understand the collectors' market.
Hopefully in the comming years we will see the Fouad, Farouk or Packard masterpieces of the future.

How do you think this will play out? Of course I expect to pay a premium but do you think we will now see a lot of one off unique pieces? white dials turned to black, romans to arabic, guilloche vs no guilloche etc etc.......

Hi, Dominique Bernaz told me that, fundmentally you will be able to design your own watch! Of course the whole idea is that it's an ongoing cooperation between the customer and the Maison. And surely they will have their thoughts, but they are also hoping...

alas, with no money! It would be a dream to have VC make me a unique piece. Just out of curiosity, does VC have a stock of old movements available for casing, like the caliber 1007/1008 as was used in the Chronometer Royal watches? Bill
