Jaeger Lecoultre Duometre à Chronographe Rose Gold, Open Dial.
While the first Duometre à Chronographe came with a plain dial ( Platinum grey dial, white dial, rose gold, yellow gold, and white gold ), in 2013, Jaeger Lecoultre issued a different version, with an open dial just like the first Duometre à Quantième Lunaire.
I reworked this picture to get a better chromatic combination, a more faithful outcome of the white of the dial, and the rose of the gold case.
Still, the feeling is still the same than when I discovered this version at the SIHH.
For me, THE Duometre à Chronographe must have a plain dial. Whatever is the case color and material.
Something like this:
This dial is so magnificent that the 2 openings spoil it a bit.

I kinda like the "cleavage" of the later version and especially in the Quantieme Lunaire 42mm. -Dean
More Joker than cleavage, I think.
I'm not crazy about the RG. I would have to see a white metal with the open dial before judging which dial is more desirable.

I love the dial as it looks on the Pt version (plain), especially on the Paris boutique edition at the time (my favorite). It is totally homogeneous (the whole dial has the same balanced look) and a little purer. Beautiful. On the other hand, I like the o...
The platinum is slightly heavier ( at least the feeling ) on the wrist.

There is so much going on on the dial. Why add more.
The open dial draws your eyes away from the features to another. Plain fits better but it is a personal choice. Bill

I don\'t like open dials in general. Although for the Duometre, I won\'t mind the see some parts of the lovely mechanics and finishing! Cheers Robin
Definitely prefer the non-open dial
Easy to access the beautiful movement through the backside...this open dial never appealed to me. Cheers, John
