F.P. Journe

Journe watch numbering scheme

Hi all,

I wonder if those in the know could enlighten me about the way FPJ numbers his watches. From looking at pictures it seems to be something like the following:

No xxx-0yZ or on older models also No xxx/0yZ

where

xxx is a running number

y seems to have had to do with the size or the dial, but it looks to me that Journe stopped doing this a while ago? I have seen 05D on Octa Divine 38 mm, 04D Octa Divine 36mm, otherwise 04 seems to be 40mm? all CS I have seen have no "0y", it is just something like No 255-CS, and newer Resonance are also just e.g. No 200-RN

Z - type of watch

A Octa Rserve de Marche ("Auto")

L Octa Lune

D Octa Divine

Q Octa Calendrier

C Octa Chrono

CS Chronometre Souverain

RN Chronometre a Resonance

TN Tourbillion Souverain

If this is correct, how are the watches numbered. Is 277-04RN the 277th Resonance ever made, is it the 277th that isn't a special edition, is it the 277th of type "04N" or is it the 277th of that type in Red Gold, and there would be another one in Platinum?

Thanks for any help,

best

Andreas
