Personally, not a fan of the band he was most closely associated with. Their music, yes, to a degree, but not the band itself.

Here Comes the Sun, and
You've Got to Hide Your Love Away were all gorgeously recorded, lush sounding masterpieces. What's more impressive is how Martin was able to put Jimmy Webb's imprimatur on a song Webb wrote that others covered to wide acclaim.
