Link(s) for 18k gold President bracelet
A dear friend of over 40 years has often told me he would leave me his 18K Datejust in his will.
Now, at the age of 89 he has given me the watch early, as he confidently expects to live at least another 10 years and wants me to enjoy the watch before I get too old!
He remains as slim as he was 40 years ago: sadly, I don't and the bracelet is too tight. Can anyone recommend a reliable source in the UK to get links for the 18K gold President bracelet?
John had the bracelet resized when he bought the watch about 25 years ago, and although he still has the links the dealer said he removed, they are for the Jubilee bracelet. The same dealer replaced the original jewelled bezel wit h the fluted bezel John preferred but made no adjustment in the price he charged John for the watch
( I assume the jewelled bezel would have been more expensive? ) so I am trying to find a source I can trust.

Very tricky.....

.....getting a bracelet extended on such an old watch will prove tricky, i suspect. I would do the following; 1) Take it to Rolex and ask what they suggest. 2) On the basis that 1) does not prove helpful, it may be that you need to improvise. Try a reputa...
