It's looking like this will be the next vintage Autavia to be re-issued by TAG Heuer. Expect a limited edition of 1932 pieces in November to celebrate Jack Heuer's 85th birthday. Here is the vintage Autavia that will serve as the model for the new one.

I wonder why
the Heuer 02 has the hours totaliser at 9 like the Rolex 4130. All of the classic chronographs have that totaliser at 6 in a 3-6-9 layout and it makes logical sense. The Heuer 02's layout doesn't make sense.
Why is this "logical sense"? Just because you are used to it?
Design is one thing, functionality the other. A tourbillion looks nicer in the 6 position than in any other. The Heuer-02 movement has the choice of a 60 sec. counter or a tourbillion... ;-)

Which is why on the IWC Portugesier Annual Calendar IW503502, the date is read as May 23, Saturday. as an example. Aesthetics, no other reason
