Parmigiani

Manually machining a Parmigiani dial.

 



This video from Parmigiani shows the dial guilloche being performed manually on a straight line engraving engine. 

There was some question in past months on the process which I believe this video puts to rest.

Yes, it is a stunner and we can now confidently state it is machined by hand, not CNC, for those to whom it matters (or for the simply curious).

Yes, I believe he is now very careful with his words as apparently it was a slight misstatement by him that ignited the confusion over the manufacturing process.

I'm glad you reposted this as the first time I couldn't see the video and fell down a Youtube Parmigiani hole for an hour or so watching videos. I did however learn a lot about the integration of all the manufacturing processes a Parmigiani watch goes thr...
