Parmigiani Piccola Pix

Hello everyone!  I've treated myself to a new lens for Christmas (lots less expensive that a new watch, alas -- perhaps next year I'll be back to adding to the tick-tock collection), and decided to turn my attention to my wife's Parmigiani Kalpa Piccola Joallerie.  This is the original version of the Piccola -- not the more recent quartz movement one, but the one with the Piguet-derived automatic movement (with the cool PT winding rotor).  A few photos that I hope you'll enjoy:

1. Front side of the watch highlighting the MOP dial.  The MOP is difficult to capture in photos, but I think that I finally caught it to some extent in this shot.  You also get a sense for the prong-setting of the diamonds on the bezel -- in "real life" it's harder to see that each stone is set with prongs, but at this magnification it becomes apparent.  Finally, I have to say that I like the "open" variant on the characteristic Parmigiani javelin hands on this piece.

2. The reverse of the watch, showing the movement and rotor.

3. An alternative view of the rear, with the watch flipped over to reveal the escapement.

As always, all comments, suggestions, and criticisms welcomed!

Best,

Gary G
