TimeOut

Marrakesh 2016 Part 2.

There will not be a Part 3 as I tried to visit the Jardin de Majorelle, which is also known as Yves St Laurent's Garden, but I didn't have the time. Too much crowd when I tried.

Anyway, the wife and the daughter wanted to go to the Souk, close to the Jemma El Fnaa place, which is something to be lived at least once in a life time.

For the Souk, in itself, for the Place, too. The best moment to go there is at the end of the afternoon. you start by the Souk, you end spending some time in the Place.

The Souk is an amazing and disorienting ( for occidental people ) place which blends so many perfumes and colors that you end " drunk ".

The Place is the summit of the visit. When the night starts to fall, with all these lights, the noise, the music, the crowd, the color of the sky, darkened by the smokes, it is getting magical, hysterical, crazy, surrealistic.

You have to live it to understand it.

Here are some pictures I could take during this brief moment we had.

The spices part of the Souk, highly recommended.

Carpets? No flying carpets, here, but some wonderful Kilims:

And at the end of the day, back to the Palm Grove, to say hello to some local friends, who are dear to my daughter...

Another great moment in Morroco.

Best,

Nicolas
