My 1st Patek - an unexpected journey
So after months (years?) of searching for my ideal watch I decided on a 5164. And I love it. 
However, a couple of days I was surprised in the dark....
An email and then a visit to my excellent and most helpful AD confirmed that the lume on the '1' of the 10 was missing! He quickly contacted Patek who confirmed they had a replacement dial waiting, and so off it went...and was back on my wrist 10 days later! Fantastic service I think - from my AD and from Patek. Out of interest, would anyone have kept the 'unique' dial?

Can't be wrong with this one, seen on Mr Stern's wrist multiple times...
funny how that lume can escape the QC, maybe lume should be added into a checklist. Good thing all is well now, but should be awesome to keep that original one as a souvenir. Rgds Raymond

Good they straightened it out, BUT in the world did they forget to put the lume on?
It\'s quite troubling given the price point and complexity of what\'s inside the watch.

and that you could experience Patek services that well and that fast, even if the missing lume was of course bothering... No, I don't think there is any interest to keep the old dial. At least, I don't see one. Have a nice time wearing it! Cheers, Mark

I would not forgive the brand for making such a disaster . The claim of having stringent quality controls which are higher standard then the geneva seal are not correct then. Anyway the human involvement in the process of manufacturing makes this acceptab...

A forgotten lumen is not an attractive dial irriatation that a collector is finding good

A missing lume on a brand new watch! Quick fixing by Patek, good on them. It would have troubled me though. Enjoy the beauty of this watch.
