3 6 9 12 is always my favourite combination of dial because of well balance on the dial.
My journey started with a Rolex Explorer 1016 and 14270 with this configuration. Panerai Luminor Base is also appealing and one of my favourite - less is more. The Blancpain Aqualung 3 6 9 12 is another one I like a lot.
Now i am proud to own this Geophysic E168 yellow gold with 3 6 9 12 dial which I cannot stared somewhere else. The luminous dot and hands turned green together along the year. Not sure how many pieces of this configuration have been produced but another friend from that era and one later reunited many years later.

That is a major catch you have here. Polaris / Geophysic / Deep Sea Alarm... Before getting a Tribute To Reverso, there are still a few Vintage JLC you could hunt, such as... A Futurematic, for example, and, why not, a Mark 11, or a very nice Chrono Shark...
Aaah, and I forgot to tell you... I am working on thees cross hair dials.
