Horological Meandering

My paper clock kit has arrived....yes paper....

I've seen this book before on Amazon but it was always out of stock or discontinued then suddenly it was available and for £9 I thought it was worth a look.  Well it arrived today and it is literally all paper - you have to build the cogs and all you need to add is a little cardboard to back one or two pieces, some straightened paper clips for the axels, and string for the winding.

It looks like a lot of work with 160 pieces to cut, shape and glue together but it does produce a fully working clock and looks like it will be a similar size to an Atmos (but a bit cheaper and it needs winding).

Here are a couple of pics and when I get time to start it i'll let you know...

It should proove interesting if anything and I can't believe it is literally all paper.  I have seen wood kits which I was interested in but I don't have the equipment for producing those - this just needs a sharp knife, scissors, and glue...brilliant idea.

Yours,

Andy.
