I've seen this book before on Amazon but it was always out of stock or discontinued then suddenly it was available and for £9 I thought it was worth a look. Well it arrived today and it is literally all paper - you have to build the cogs and all you need ...  

do you need to cut with precision? a cool concept though best, Ed

but looking at the plans it does look like you need to be acurate with cutting and folding but I'm pretty good at origami so fingers crossed. It will however take quite a while to make it. Yours, Andy.

I like that bold marketing claim. No Swiss watchmaker would claim such a thing. But then we call Korbel "Champagne" too! Can I suggest a few very sharp Xacto blades rather than scissors? Cheers Cazalea

for ashort while i had a wooden clock that someone had made, but it was a nightmare and eventually he took it back to continue working on it. if wood was bad i hate to think what paper will be like if it works you could consider getting it copied in brass...

July isn't far off so fingers crossed all goes well this time...they do say moving house is the most stressful thing you can do and it seems it is..!! We'll have to sort out a GTG at somepoint and all put our feet up...roll on summer..!! Moi
