Horological Meandering

One great community

I just wanted to reflect a little on the joys of being part of this community. As I recall, I stumbled across this forum sometime in 2008 when I was looking for information on mechanical watches. The last 4+ years have been years of making friends here and learning more than I've ever learnt on everything related to watches (and the humor that goes along is amazing). The people and the contributions here have helped me deepen my love and interest for the micro mechanics, art and effort that every piece is created with and by, and what I enjoy most about being here is that there are no divisions or camps, only one common love for everything watches that keeps all things going. The added bonus of being able to appreciate the many watches shown here without having to buy them all is a great thing too.

I made a business trip early this week to Japan and met up with Ken, one of our moderators, and his hospitality and showing me the nooks and corners of the great boutiques of Ginza is absolutely appreciated and I want to again thank him here for that. Definitely cemented my belief that this is the best watch forum and community to be on and I'm glad to be part of it all!

My ranting and sentiments smile

Thanks for reading, and again, to Ken, thanks! I'll definitely be back - and the next time it won't be on a Wednesday....even if just to get another glimpse of that superb Ferrier smile

Best regards,
Richard
