Port lovers...

 

This was the finale to our big family & friends feast last week:


My dear friend grew up partially in the Basque region of Spain and has a taste for port. So I pulled this out for our cheese course in the Thanksgiving evening.
It was lovely! Smooth, elegant and quite punchy, with fruit still in play.
It paired so well with a slab of Stilton!
