Absolutely right! It truly is about the dial. The porcelain material is quite unlike most anything I've seen.
Not as flat or perfect than the Meissen porcelain GO used once upon a time, but on the other hand, it does have more of a "hand-made" look to it. Also very glossy, though not with a metallic glare. ...
