Breguet

Question Alberto. The new Breguet Perpetual comes with a matching gold chain that is

supposed to fit on one of the pins and then the other end is a detente pusher which is supposed to go into the strap. That is what I understand from others and from what I have seen on the older model perpetuals. There is no information contained in the operating booklet, nor is there even any mention of the chain. The strap is the same as that on every other Breguet, e.g. no hole in the strap anywhere for the detente pusher.

My questions are these: Why is there no mention of the chain anywhere? How is one supposed to know what it is for or how to use it unless they have been told by someone else or have seen it on an older watch? Is there not a special strap that comes with a watch that uses the chain and accomodates the chain and pin?

With no reference to it, information, or a way to attach it, it seems very odd that Breguet even supplies it. Something tells me there must be more to this story. Can you perhaps enlighten me? I thank you in advance and also wish you a very Happy Holiday!

Regards,

Ed Tonkin
