Quick and dirty capture of some of the charming aspects of the King Seiko SJE083 🇯🇵
Needing a slightly more formal watch for an event today, the King Seiko modern reissue in the form of the SJE083 seemed to fit the bill perfectly.
The shot is not much to write home about but shows the combination of the sunburst dial and the diamond patterned 12 o’clock hour marker quite well - together with the domed crystal. Some of the aspects that I find real highlights of the piece, together with the lug shape (less prominent in the quick wristshot taken at a traffic light). If they did it without the date it would be pure bliss!

The vintage ones surely also have a lot of charm. The new ones are of course completely stress free and possibly a tad more robust in terms of water resistance.
