RAYMOND WEIL 2012 Novelties

Earlier this week, RAYMOND WEIL unveiled their 2012 BaselWorld novelties to the press-members of Singapore at Spruce.
This year, a total of eight novelties, including a sneak preview of the yet-to-be-released  Nabucco Cuore Vivo, Jasmine Turandot's Splendor and maestro Phase de Lune Semainier.

Agnes Sng, General Manager of Raymond Weil Division at C.Melchers Gmbh & Company presenting the details of the RAYMOND WEIL.

Also highlighted RAYMOND WEIL five consecutive years of  involvement in the BRiT Awards, one of the strategies of RW to anchor in the Music and Arts space.

A list of the 2012 novelties ...

After the presentation, a viewing session.  Caught some of the novelties ...

Starting with the upcoming sporty nabucco Cuore Vivo which will be launching later this year.

The 46mm case, a combination of Titanium and steel.
The noticeable differences as compared to previous versions are  the dial with a cut-out to reveal the beating balance-wheel and removal of the date.
A quick approach to re-styling which may appeal to a certain segment, but at the expense of the small-second dial.

Movement should remain the same ETA7753.

The new 2012 nabucco Intenso with a smaller  43mm titanium steel case.  This reduced 3mm case is to cater for people who has smaller wrists and like sporty watches. A good move for North Asia and even SE Asia market with most guys having smaller wrists.  At the same time, it could also being worn by ladies too, thus expanded the market segment too.

This model looks better and balance, less gimmicky.
Will be nice if the date window is removed.

The 2011 Model for reference...

This is the first version.

Next novelty - the PVD coated  freelancer Urban Black

42mm PVD steel case with anti-fingering treatment...

Two other versions of the non-PVD freelancer with either a white or grey dial.

Also a sneak preview of the upcoming  maestro Phase de Lune Semainier ...

It is a seven-hands full calender watch with moon-phase indicator.

Not sure of the exact diameter, as specifications yet to be released.  Best guess  is either 39.50mm or 41.50mm  per the Maestro steel cases.

The uniqueness of this piece (like previous year Moonphase model) is the quick-set correctors are designed into the case.
Need not use a ballpoint tip or toothpick for adjusting.

Moving on, 2012 Novelty -  maestro Quantième à Aiguille (maestro With Calendar Hand)

39.50mm steel case. Sub-second dial at 9H and the date display at 3H.

On bracelet ...

Black dial version.

Lastly this could be the upcoming Jasmine Turandot's Splendor with black mother-of-pearl dial.
