Ref 166.091 some wrist shots.
My apologies to those this does not interest but I received
a request form a fellow Purist for some wrist shots of this watch and I thought
it might be easier just to post them here. Those who like this sort of thing can enjoy
them and those who don’t can tune out.
The ref 166.091 I own is from 1971 came with box and
instruction manual as well as the original sales receipt from a jeweler in
Canada.
The thing I was asked to comment on was the watches feel on
the wrist, which is quite substantial on the 22mm mesh bracelet but what is striking
about it is its height (or thickness):

It does fit under shirt and jacket sleeves but occasionally
the bezel catches on a tight cuff:
Please excuse those last two shots (scratched crystal etc) they were from before its
trip to Bienne. I wear mine more as a jeans and t shirt kind of watch
for witch it excels. I like this watch primarily due to the unusual case
shape, the sword hands and the acrylic bezel with luminous markings. The
dial on my example has aged beautifully to a caramel color, which is hard to
capture in photos. Unfortunately the hands have gone a different, more
green hue but they are original and I keep them for authenticity reasons.

Anyway I hope this helps out the member concerned and others enjoy the photos.
Regards,
Zac

Do you still have yours? It looks like it might be a good candidate for a Bienne restoration as the bezel and dial look good and they are the key vintage components in this watch IMO. A hand set is an easy fix. Interesting the red second hand in yours, I ...

Big but not too big. The mesh really balances it out and holds the watch in place. I used to wear my cal. 911 flightmaster on the mesh from time to time as well. Your cal. 911 is stunning by the way. Looks to be in a bit nicer condition than mine. Regards...
