Whilst enjoying a surprisingly sunny afternoon and taking a closer look at my Flyback Split Seconds I asked myself why this Blancpain did not generate more attention and success...
It was actually the first Leman in the larger 40mm case, and production of this model was discontinued after just 4 years. It features the rare combination between a flyback and rattrapante function, calibre F186.
I own this beautiful watch since almost 3 years, and it has never let me down. Depending on temparature more than on position the watch runs between +1 and +6 secs/day, I would call this an exceptionally good a stable result for this delicate movement.
The dial is this Blancpain typical mesmerizing multi-layer black, supported by anti reflective coating on both sides of the sapphire:
I honestly think this Reference should have received more appreciation from the horological world - but it is also a very nice feeling to own a remarkable timepiece you do not see too often ;-)
I hope you enjoyed this short journey, cheers
Henrik
