Rolex

Rolex Submariner 5508.

I can't believe it has been 9 years, already, nine years since the moment I got this Rolex 5508, in December 2009.

As you can guess, I was puzzled by its flawless dial, a deep black glossy dial, with these pistachio indices.

I had tow things to do, on this watch. The first thing was to find a correct bezel, which is now done since December 2014.

The other thing I still have to do is to find a set of hands, these ones being relumed.

Not far from the perfect 5508...

Yes, but they are at least as interesting as their Rolex siblings. Look at the power and charm of a very nice 7924. Not sure the Rolex 6538 is a better choice... [nt]

You are absolutly right, but may be of the end of the day, Rolex is Rolex and Tudor is (only) Tudor. The Rolex hype is crazy.

Yesterday i saw all the James Bond watches here, so many brands, but we only talk about James Bond Rolex. Now after so many years, also a little bit of Omega, but i cannot see an Omega hype.

I agree on the 7016 / 7928 and 94010. But the early Tudor Subs are in my opinion even more interesting, and much tougher to find! [nt]

I keep care of my family heirloom vintages and enjoy the 5digits refs ,TBH in the vintage world the prices are just silly more specially with the widespreadof fakes, semi fakes ,molested pieces .I don t have the time to check every single parts of a watch...

I ve just read the on the german forum on a Daytona ,120k and finally turned out a piece of crap :-(and tge seller was a well known name .PP maybe more safe you can send it for repair and they tell you even any of screws are not matching but PP in vintage...
