Salmon dial question
Dear friends,
For years I’ve been a fan of salmon dials.
Got myself a PP 5124 salmon dial earlier this year.
I now have my sights set on an IWC GST Perpetual salmon dial.
What do you guys think? Good watch, good dial combination?
Would appreciate any thoughts and comments either way.

A Salmon dail is almost allways a great choice imho 😉
I just love Salmon dails . The IWC GST with a Salmon dail is a very nice watch imo , i love the white and blue indicators with that Salmon dail . Never owned one so i cant tell you anything about that model , had some other IWC watches and allways enjoyed...
I've had a GST Perpetual for 15 years - it's my #1 watch, I think

I've also got my eyes on that watch.
I have no real world experience with it but it definitely represents a great value and looks very nice.
I think it's the same rationale that puts 12 (or 0) at the top of the main hour dial rather than 1
Probably some one was thinking the top is the ending of the previous revolution rather than the beginning of a new one. Mike
IWC is inconsistent with their month dial layout. Some have DEC @ 12 other have JAN.
I still love this watch and hope to get one soon.

Salmon? Salmon! Nah, it's 'copper'! The origin of 'salmon' dials was watchmakers' use of lacquered copper.
Copper was cheap, easily available, easy to work - cut, polish and paint - and, when lacquered, resisted oxidation. It also resembled gold! Over time, it moved up-market and became ... 'salmon' - a colour and not a material. I love it.
