Salon QP 2012: my selection of wristshots (modem burner)

 

After the gallery of portraits posted yesterday (http://home.watchprosite.com/show-forumpost/fi-17/pi-5584268/ti-826618/s-0/), please find below my selection of wristshots taken during the Salon QP.

I tried to see almost all exhibitors but it wasn't possible to meet everybody.

Anyway, I think I didn't miss the key watches of the event!

Peter Speake-Marin was presenting a new version of his Spirit. The previous was closing a chapter, the new one contributes to a new one, the Spirit Mark 2:

The Resilience is a superb watch thanks to its enamel dial:

It was the first participation for Urwerk at the Saatchi gallery. I was happy to wear this UR-210 which makes me think in a sense to the Opus V due to the retrograde "big hand holder":

The Schofield team was back to QP with the Signalman watch, here the DLC version:

Even if I was impressed by the horological contents of Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, Chapter 3 is by far my fav watch from Maîtres du Temps:

Yes, yes, believe me or not but this is an Andreas Strehler watch and you can easily read the time. More seriously, I liked this Cocon thanks to its feeling of depth and the original case shape:

The combo PG&blue dial of Sarpaneva's Northern Stars is gorgeous:

The K0 Wuoksi is watching you...

We jump into a totally different world with the classic dial from Laurent Ferrier which hides an original and perfectly designed movement:

The new Patrimony Automatic, a very pure and elegant watch:

Robert Loomes created this watch entirely made in England:

I would say that this Minute Repeater is quite classic for someone like Christophe Claret. If you know the Opera 1, you will not be surprised. The design of the watch is more original:

Meridian is another english project using Unitas movements including one with an increased power reserve:

The Amvox 7 made one of its first appearance at the Salon:

I already presented you the Ocean Tourbillon Big Date:

Opus 12 was one of the most impressive watches of the Basel fair. It is always the same pleasure to observe the behaviour of the blue hands:

The Gustafson&Sjögren Spring is the entry level of the company but we can appreciate the work on the dial and on the case:

A rare bird... it is very difficult to find an Altiplano Ultra-Thin Skeleton in the boutiques. Hopefully, it was visible at the Salon QP!

The DB25T remains one of my fav watches thanks to the behaviour of the big second hand and the superb dial:

Revelation is a new brand which uses a system to unveil or not the decoration of the movement dial side. The Tourbillon watch doesn't use the system ofr the moment but I was really seduced by its revolution. It features one of the biggest counterweights!

The Androgyne goes black:

The One Hertz Fire uses the orange colour... logical after all for a watch coming from the Netherlands!

The Tourbillon & Minute Repeater features a Claret ebauche:

Ivresse was designed by Eric Giroud. One of the purest watches around...

The Vingt-8 and its blue dial becomes even more beautiful with a PG case:

The Christophe Colomb with a see-through dial:

It is my shiny side:

The Victory watch from Bremont features retrograde second and date hands:

I saw at Basel the previous version of the Classico Luna. The watch was redesigned and it is one of the most beautiful elegant watches I've seen this year:

I prefer the previous version of the Sonata:

Julien Coudray and its very specific enamel dial:

The selection of wristshots is over now but I would like to give you one more picture which is obviously a kind of classic in London!

But the watch was created by an English watchmaker so I found it more appropriate than ever!
