Seamaster 300, America’s Cup …
Hello dear friends,
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of trying out the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300m for the 37th America’s Cup.
Let’s start with the good news, this watch is a cool addition to the Seamaster series and I found in the real world it looks great on the wrist. The white dial and colourful hands are a nice touch and I would love to have it on a rubber or sailcloth strap.

Omega is the Official Timekeeper at the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona and has produced this Master Chronometer certified watch, replete with America’s Cup tributes. A salute to the world-famous boat race, complete with its own waves, laser-engraved in positive relief on the gleaming white ceramic dial.
Omega provide us with elements that reflect the company’s passion for design detail. Sailing’s most coveted prize plays a role on the watch. The silhouette of the America’s Cup trophy, in the same blue as the Barcelona logo, serves as a counterweight on the central seconds hand.
The dial has a matt finish but when combined with the wave pattern the effect is subtle with sporting overtones. The lume pots are another interesting feature and look fabulous in low light conditions. The blue ceramic insert of the unidirectional bezel contains a regatta scale, comprised of two 5-minute pre-start sections, and a START section with a regatta-inspired flag
The patented Quick-Change system is a great practical move and makes it easy to make the most of the strap and bracelet options available.

The watch is powered by OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) to ensure precision, performance, and magnetic resistance. 55 hour power reserve should cover most eventualities.
I hope you have the opportunity to try this one on your wrist
