SIHH 2016: some additional wristshots of the Vacheron Constantin novelties
Please find the pictures I took during my appointment with Alex.
The 3 hands Overseas features a 41mm case and the new automatic caliber 5100:
The power reserve of the caliber 5100 is around 60 hours:
My fav version of the Overseas with the blue dial:
The Overseas Chronograph, here with the PG case. The case diameter is 42,5mm and the watch is powered by the new automatic caliber 5200 with a power reserve of around 52 hours.
The SS version with silver dial:
It is not a surprise to find a two-hand ultra-thin version in the collection since this kind of slender design is totally consistent with this type of watch.
And actually, I tend to think that the simplest one is the most beautiful of the collection. The watch has a diameter of 40mm with a thickness of 7,5mm. Please note that this version doesn't use a new caliber because it is powered by the caliber 1120 (power reserve of around 40 hours) decorated with the same stylistic approach than the other calibers of the collection. The watch is available only with a slate dial and a white gold case. Available in Vacheron boutiques.
The ultra-thin approach works very well with this collection and I'm also seduced by the Ultra-Thin Perpetual Calendar in white gold. The case diameter is 41,5mm with a very reasonable thickness of 8,1mm.
Without any surprise, the watch is powered by the caliber 1120QP (power reserve of around 40 hours) and so offers a similar view on the movement than the two-hand version. Available in Vacheron boutiques only.
All these Overseas watches share the quick change of strap system. I love it, it is very convenient and easy to use.
Two additions to the Patrimony collection.
The aim of the first one is to meet the expectation of some markets which have found the handwind version of the Patrimony too small (available with cases of 36 or 40mm and powered by the caliber 1400) or too quiet (lack of the second hand). So it is now available with the caliber 4400, with the diameter of 42mm and a second hand subdial. The caliber 4400 was previously available in the Traditionnelle collection.
I have to confess that I'm not under the charm of this one because I find it too big and unbalanced.
The second addition is the Perpetual Calendar which joins the Excellence Platine line with this beautiful 41mm watch powered by the movement 1120QP.
Thanks to Alex for his warm welcome!
