Perhaps the best dial face of a tool watch. I wish Rolex does a re-issue of this version sometime soon.
If they overhauled the current Exp II line..
.. To follow 1655 design cues, I think it would stand toe to toe in desireabiity with the sub and the GMT. Or at the very least trump the current line. I really don't like the font thickness of thebezel markings on the current gen. I would get a refreshed...

I can clearly see the issue between the lugs and the bracelet as being visually awkward and yet
The Sub and GMT lost their beautiful proportions when they got the super case
Look at the 1655, 1675, and 5513/5512/1680 and compare with the awkward proportioned fatties of today. Even the last generation 16710, 16610, and 16570 had the same perfect proportions as the plastic crystal references.
