Some GS time at the end of the year
Here are some parting shots (for the year, not parting with the watches as such) of my two Grand Seiko watches, the SBGH035 and the SBGX097. Much joy they brought me and something tells me this will continue for a long time. Let's see if 2016 brings more Seiko goodies
Very much like the little details. The dial is - IMHO - simply mesmerizing and the wavy pattern exudes a zen calmness that I never tire of. Partially also visible is the different finishing on the lugs - the top is brushed, the sides and the inner curved bits polished. In terms of finishing there is no aspect where I could say that my LUC Chrono One is superior. The heat blued seconds hand is the cherry on the cake.
As a responsible citizen I stopped before taking the shot (the HUD shows 0kmh)
Just so many ways in which the light plays with the watch - hard to get bored with...
Less mechanical but also very satisfying, the SBGX097. Here a rare shot, where one can actually see the green of the dial.
The case design is similar, if about a mm smaller in diameter. And it's an excellent watch to use for setting others - the maximum deviation over 5 months of ownership has been less than 0,2 seconds

Snowflake is beautiful. As for Springdrive chronos in titanium,
I like SBGC005, htmlSBGC007, SBGC013, and I think the blue dial 013 would complement your current two GSs well.
The Snowflake was the first GS I have seen live :)
Remember writing about it here as having a dial like finely crumpled paper Mike helpfully pointed me in the right direction The chronos are almost impossible to find locally - will have to try the Seiko Boutique when next in Frankfurt, or hope for a Japan...
There's a Paris boutique if you're near, and Selfridges in London had some last winter
The Seiko "Vlad" is an interesting title. I'm not sure I'll sign up for that one! But I have had a dozen spring drives which should put me in the top 10 lunatics in the world. First one is still in the Catalog - SBGA001 - a simple champagne/chameleon dial...

But those Credors you have are simply amazing Now finding one of those in Europe is pretty much the definition of impossible. So Japan beckons... Not quite sure I am brave enough for the Galante yet but then again I am unlikely to pull the trigger before ...

But one day I shall have a Credor Not sure I will ever stretch to an Eichi II but there are plenty of them that will make me very happy at a slightly more palatable cost

It is certainly liked, although without friends and ambassadors like you and Mike (and many others here) that liking could well have stayed platonic only. And enjoying them for real is so much more satisfying than doing so only virtually Once again thanks...
Great pair
Both with very captivating dials as well. The hi beat is especially attractive, and as you\'ve mentioned, the polish of the hands and indices and the wavy pattern makes light dance. Elegance and beauty at their best!
The only criticism I have
Of the SBGH035 is the relative thickness - 13mm in a 38mm watch. It\'s not a deal breaker but something to be aware off. I was warned by helpful \'ambassadors\' of this point but still pulled the trigger and did not regret it. Almost impossible for me to ...
