Austria is not known for automotive excesses generally and seeing cars less ordinary is reasonably rare. So I was surprised when I saw two in one day, both Daimler related.
Starting with this...
As Maybach never officially produced a 57 Coupe, I checked it out. It seems it is a product of Vienna based DC Dream Cars, who took over production from now defunct Xenatec. Supposedly both have / had the blessings of Daimler for the cars. Rare, too - from what I read 8 Xenatecs have been produced as well as two DC ones.
Now if you're more interested in the byways than the highways, this could just be the car. Never seen wheels so big on a G before. Stability through curves must be delightful, I guess
Still one of the nicest sounding V8s in the business
