Sunny day in the park at 36000
Given that the weather played the part - one better use the remaining sunny days this year - the Eterna Sevenday Fast Beat 36000 got an outing in the park over the weekend.
A late 1960s / early 1970s product (as if you could miss it from the design), it has a certain emotional appeal, at least for me

It is nicely legible, the fast beat sounds very different from 'slower' movements and I am still impressed at the NOS condition I got it in after all these decades... I am probably going to add a different strap to it, to complement the original lizard skin one.
The day indication in Italian is between quaint and endearing (and has a didactic component for us on-Italian speakers).
We are not speaking about a haute gorlogerie piece and the associated quality of finish but the contrast between the sunburst pattern brushed surface on top of the case and the polished sides is quite nice.
While far from being a daily wearer, it always brings a smile to my face. And I guess I will need a better camera to capture the truly unique hour markers for a future post - each a double wedge with a black cube attached to it and a tiny lume dot at the end, which reflect the light in a myriad ways.
