The World of The Water
Some readers have noted that I often present images of us along the water (river, pond, lake, bay, harbor, ocean). That's true, because we live close by and the water makes a nice contrast for photos.
Today, just for variety, we went walking through Sea World parking lot, in San Diego's Mission Bay. I have to admit I haven't been IN Sea World for more than 30 years, but only because I've bin there, dun that a few dozen times in my youth and I needn't go again. I don't have anything against aquatic theme parks -- the parking lot just happened to be along our route and we took some pictures while cruising through.
I was astonished by the forest of Handicap Parking Signs - we counted 100 of them in this area. It kind of takes the purpose of "proximity to the door" away, when the handicap slots stretch for hundreds of yards ...

Luckily it's not all pavement where we walked.

As 9 am approached, so did dozens of cars and trucks ... we rushed across before the tsunami of visitors came sweeping at us.

Across the road things were moving a bit more slowly, as the marina folks marked up this sign with today's marine forecast.

Putting across the inlet we saw two SeaDoo craft coming towards the dock.

This guy and his friend were taking them out to go fishing. I was more interested in the 750 hp Pro Line boat, to be honest. Except at $7 per gallon it wouldn't take long to use up my weekly entertainment budget!

Later we found ourselves near SD Bay, and got some pictures of even more aggressive & impressive fuel-guzzling craft.

We talk about getting a boat, or maybe joining one of those boating clubs, so the work can be done by others, and the boating done by us.

Of course, we could just keep on

Sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away, watching the ships roll in, then watch em roll away again, yeah....
Then I remember we've bin there and dun that boating bit.
