this... or that?
Hi all,
I have been a member for a while, and for the past several years this has probably been the website I have visited most frequently! Like many here I am totally obsessed with watches. I will admit that I have used this place more as a platform for knowledge and as a means to keep current rather than share my experiences. To be honest, with the incredibly knowledgeable members here I didn't feel I had anything to really contribute!
There are exceptions however where I feel like I am compelled to share my experiences or opinions (like i did earlier), so thought I would just ride the thrill of making a post and make a thread of my own!
My horological journey has been quite an experience, and I am starting to see a trend that more often than not my journey keeps heading towards (and very deep) into the world of Patek. Over the last couple years the pursuit of this passion of mine has allowed me to see some special pieces (maybe not piece unique's, but pieces that aren't ones that you see everyday). One that has always caught my attention has been the 6102.
I live nowhere near Geneva, so the complication is neither practical or relevant to me. The movement? As much as i love the caliber 240, it is hardly unique. I already have one watch with the 240, and a couple more on the wish list. And the price... oh so difficult to digest. There's no reason as to why I should love it as much as I do, but i guess there's no logic in love
Now.. the real question, which do I love more.. The warmth of the Rose Gold with the sharp contrasting dial that is always legible? Or the brightness of the Platinum with a dial that turns from a dull dark navy to the most incredible blue I have ever seen when the light hits it just right (plus the rarity adds to the allure)?
I for the life of me can't decide... how about you guys?

I guess this wouldn't be fun without some pictures... enjoy!
