Time for a radiomir?

Guys, I currently have a PAM88 which works for me as a sports watch. Have alternated it with a vintage rolex oyster.

I do know however that it is a departure from the original DNA of the brand and therefore I am considering supplementing it with a radiomar (which will take over from the rolex). Have never previously considered this as I always felt that I needed the crown guard - now I am not so sure.

Looking for a watch that will become more of my work watch (I wear a suit, collar and tie) with my 88 being worn at the weekends. Does anyone have any thoughts on a model - want to keep the cost reasonable, but looking for a watch that captures the true DNA of Panerai.

I think you will find the panerai pam 232 may fit the bill.

Pam183 but Pam210 OR 232 is pure DNA IMO

The purest DNA=232, 249, 449 - 47mm.

If you think 47mm it's exaggerate on your wrist, the next best thing is a 210. After that, 190....183...and distant (and I mean DISTANT) last, but the most economical 380. IMO. The choice is yours :-) Ciao

If you're looking for a smaller watch, perhaps a 42mm, then maybe consider the Panerai Radiomir 1940 PAM512 with the large rolex crown (pictured below)? Otherwise, if 42mm is too small, then the larger 45mm PAM572 w/ the automatic micro-rotor or the 47mm ...
